Blackduck is a small northern Minnesotan town about a half-hour northeast of Bemidji. Great places to fish and hunt are easily accessible in this heavily-wooded region. Several lakes with exceptional fishing blanket the area including Blackduck Lake, Benjamin Lake, Pimushe Lake, Rabideau Lake, Moose Lake, Upper Red Lake and Webster Lake.
There are a ton of trails closeby, most notably the 107-mile-long Blue Ox Trail. This particular trail is great for hiking and mountain biking. Once the snow falls, this trail is best used for snowmobiling. In town, the City of Blackduck Trail is a paved, 2.25 mile loop perfect for running and biking.
This area is very family-friendly with a wonderful school system. Children of all ages have access to small class sizes. High schoolers can choose from several Advanced Placement classes to potentially receive college credit.
